How Can I Get Different IPs On My Craigslist Proxies?

For those who are going to setup their own Craigslist Proxies, making sure your IPs are from different C class IP ranges is something you should pay special attention to. It isn't a topic that is discussed often, but by not making sure you are using IPs on your proxy server from different C class IP ranges you are opening the door to be blocked by Craiglsist.Their are 4 main ranges for IPs, A B C and D. By using ranges we are able to log network IDs and network activity. Every computer online has an IP which allows it to communicate with other computers online, essentially functioning as an online mailing address or phone number. The most common method used to change your IP is by reconnecting to the internet, but more often than not it is still within the same IP range. This allows companies and other people to more easily identify your activities as even after changing your IP, it has not been changed to the extent that they are unable to make any connection between your old and new IP. This could also very well be used by Craigslist in their attempts to log use of Craigslist by people posting ads. If you wish to remain anonymous to Craigslist then C class IP ranges for your proxy server should help you to do so.As previously mentioned, not changing your IP significantly may mean Craigslist is able to make a connection between two or more accounts you use to post on Craigslist with even after you change your IP (since your new IP isn't varied enough from the old one to make you look like a completely different user). Be sure that your proxy server is able to get IPs from different C class IP ranges to help avoid this problem. Typically, IPs on proxy server are within the same range, this is something you should try to avoid. If you wish to post a lot of ads on Craigslist then remaining anonymous is very important, so be sure to get a Craigslist Proxies with IPs in different C class IP ranges.

How Many IPs Do I Need On My Craigslist Server?

The exact number of IPs you should get with your proxy is dependant on a few factors. How much money you can spend on your proxy and just how many ads you would like to post on Craigslist play an important role. If you don't have enough IPs you can't post enough ads. If you want to post a lot of ads buy as many IPs as your budget will allow you. Do you just need to post a couple of ads each day on Craigslist? Or do you need to get hundreds of ads up? If you are just looking to post a few ads then you should be fine with just one IP on your proxy server. Anymore than this would be a waste of money and resources. However, for those who want to post a large quantity of ads, such as 100 a day, they should invest in between 5 to 10 IPs to start. Generally speaking, for every IP that you have on your proxy server you can post approximately 10 ads. So that should give you a quick rule to check to see if you have enough IPs on your Craigslist proxy to allow you to post enough ads on Craigslist.

Do Webproxies Work As A Craigslist Proxy?

You are more than likely heard of web proxies before. Their very name webproxy falsely leads people into believing that a webproxy can be used as a Craigslist proxy. However, this simply doesn't work. One of the biggest problems with web proxies is that they are not anonymous. If you want to post ads on Craigslist then this is something that is very important. Web proxies reveal their true nature to anyone that inspects the IP. This makes it extremely easy for Craigslist and other sites to first inspect the true nature of an IP and if it is detected as a proxy any ads coming from the IP are banned. Just because webproxies are free and in abundant supply, they do not make a good tool for posting ads to Craigslist with. This obviously doesn't work and they quickly become frustrated. For those wanting to post ads to Craigslist you will need to dig into your pockets and invest in your very own Craigslist proxy.

Need Some Craigslist Proxy Advice?

Before we take an indepth look at how one should use a Craigslist proxy, spend a minute to understand what a proxy server is.

A Craigslist proxy is nothing but an online server, an application or a system, which processes the clients request and forwards it to the specified server. In plain English this means that while you are using a proxy server you can download files, webpages and just about everything that you normally would while using the internet.

So then, how to use a Craigslist proxy? It's quite simple. Proxy server IPs come in numeric format, like 111.111.111.111.111. A Craigslist server prevents Craigslist from seeing your true IP and is really a go between while you are using Craigslist. The IPs from your Craigslist proxy are simply used in any web browsing software such as Internet explorer.

It is strongly recommend that one should always post on Craigslist via a proxy server to remain anonymous. Understanding what a Craigslist server is and how to use one makes it easier for you to put more ads on Craigslist without worrying about getting caught.

You should also consider learning how to best use your Craigslist server while posting ads on Craigslist.

Don't Post too Many Ads From Your IPs

Craigslist has a complex set of spam filters setup to prevent people from putting too many ads on Craigslist from a specific IP range. Craigslist users should know how many ads they can post from one IP on their Craigslist proxy per day safely without raising any alarms. The answer to this varies a lot. Generally speaking, don't post anymore than 20 ads per day from any one IP. You may be able to post more than this without raising any alarms, so it is not advised to go beyond 20 ads per day. Many people do infact post many ads from one IP each day, but over a prolonged period of time you may find that your IP is blocked. Just how many ads you do post per IP each day also depends on how many IPs you have on your proxy server. With a limited number of IPs try and post as many as you can to take advantage of your proxy server. Although you should never post multiple ads from one IP at any time. It is better to change your IP between posting ads. You need to do this to try and stop Craigslist from picking up that you are posting multiple ads

Tips for Making Craigslist Ads Clickable

Other than placing graphics, another method to get more traffic from Craigslist is just to make your ad clickable. This can be done by making text or images on Craigslist clickable via hyperlink. Sounds easy right? Well, there is a little more to it than that. I would suggest that you avoid linking straight to your main website. Instead, consider using a disposable site to redirect from. Go from Craigslist to your other site and then redirect from your disposable site to your money site. Just why do we need to do this? If you just post the same website link in all of your ads you eventually will find that your main site is banned. Blacklisted links simply mean ads will more likely than not be ghosted. So, use a secondary site and never direct link to your main site. You can also consider having more than one secondary website. By using a few secondary website addresses, you reduce the chance of Craigslist finding any pattern to your ads. Besides using your own Craigslist proxy, this is just another way that you can increase the amount of traffic, leads and hopefully money that you can generate from Craigslist.

Selecting the Greatest Craigslist Proxy

If you have been forced down the road of setting up or looking for your own Craigslist proxy, then these tips may be of use.

* Make sure it is 100% anonymous - Typically, proxy sellers will state in bold letters that their proxies are 100% anonymous. Many use this as nothing more than a tactic to draw in customers. You can quickly check to see if they are telling the truth by going to http://www.whatismyipaddress.com and seeing what is displayed. If it shows anything like that you are using a proxy, it won't work for Craigslist.
* Multiple IPs - For posting on Craigslist, you are definitely going to need more than one IP. One IP isn't enough unless you are only posting 1 or 2 ads a day. Check that the proxy provider has no problem with multiple IPs.
* FAST - Proxies that perform like dead horses aren't uncommon. So slow in fact that you are wasting precious time. Ping the IPs of your proxy provider to see what kind of connection speed you have. You want a proxy that isn't slow when web surfing or has around a 200 - 300ms ping time.

I hope those tips help you in finding your very own and hopefully reliable Craigslist proxy.
